Configure Smart Timeline Calendar
Configure Timeline gadget
After adding a Smart Timeline Calendar gadget to your dashboard, you need to configure it first to display the timeline of work items for a specific space (project) on the gadget.
View Settings
You can now focus on the View Settings section:
Click on the Space (Project) field to open a dropdown list containing all available spaces, then select a space whose work items timeline you want to display,
Click on the Start Date field to open a dropdown list of available relevant work item fields, and select a field you want to use as the Start Date value,
Click on the End Date field to open a dropdown list of available relevant work item fields, and select a field you want to use as the End Date value.
Display Settings
You can now focus on the Display Settings section:
Timeline View: Choose between Monthly View or Weekly View to display the timeline calendar in your preferred layout.
Timeline Start / Timeline End: Select the start and end dates to define the period of time you want to display on the timeline.
Work Item Interaction: Choose how you want to interact with work items: Click to see details or Hover to see details.
Missing Dates Alerts: Turn this toggle on/off to show alert messages for work items without start or/and end date, based on your selected field.
Items Per Page: Select how many work items you want to display per page on the timeline.
